The YMCA of the Okobojis has been under Norm's leadership since August of 2006. Norm, is known locally as the man behind Boot Camp, the ever popular fitness class. Norm's passion for the YMCA is evidident not only in his leadership of the YMCA of the Okobojis, but he is also faculty for the YMCA of the USA in Health and Fitness with personal training as an area of emphasis.

Cindy Voss-Member Services Director                                                     Email

Cindy began her YMCA career at Camp Foster as resident camp staff in the 1980's. After over 5 years at the Rochester Family YMCA , her family moved back to lakes area and she is pleased to come back to the YMCA of the Okobojis. Cindy's spare time is spent with her family and on horse back. She truly enjoys bringing the YMCA mission to life for the members and guests.

Kizze Hromatko-School Age Director                                                      Email Kizze brings an outgoing and energetic personality to her School Age Director role. Her eagerness to learn coupled with her professional attitude makes her a valuable asset to the team. Kizze is dedicated to the YMCA as well as raising a family and being involved with community service.

Shane Akin-Property Manager                                                                Email

He brings a warm, welcoming personality. He has proven experience keeping facilities functional and clean while serving members.  Shane is dedicated to the Mission of the YMCA and takes pride in seeing members enjoy the beautiful facility. While away from the facility, Shane is often found enjoying the outdoors hunting or fishing.

Andrew Fisher-Sports and Wellness Director                                           Email

Andrew comes to the YMCA of the Okoboji’s from the Ottumwa YMCA where he served as the Program Assistant for Sports and Wellness. Being the Physical Director, Andrew is responsible for youth/adult sports as well as serving members in various wellness/fitness facets.  Andrew is a 2007 graduate of William Penn University where he double majored in Sports Administration and Strength and Conditioning.  While at William Penn, Andrew was a member of the National Tournament qualifying Men’s Basketball team.  His hometown is Blakesburg, Iowa.

Sasha Courbat -Senior Program Director, Wellness                                 Email

Sasha began her YMCA career in 2005 as a Wellness Director. She became a valued asset to the Bedell Family YMCA in August of 2007, as a Senior Program Director. Sasha is passionate about empowering indivduals to improve their physical and mental well being. Sasha's enegry is contagious as she leads others on their journey to a healthy fit lifestyle.  She is quick to welcome members and enjoys all sporting events.

Lora Nelson-Senior Program Director, Aquatics                                        Email

Lora comes to us from Algona via Clearwater, FL were she served as the Associate Executive Director for the Jim and Heather Gills YMCA in St. Petersburg, FL. Lora has experience in all YMCA programming areas and specializes in aquatics.  She dreams of being a news anchor on Saturday Night Live and entertains the staff daily with her comic performances.

MeShell Cornett-Association Finance Director                                          Email

MeShell is back in the United States from the Land Down Under in the role of Director of Finance for the YMCA of the Okobojis. MeShell is incrediably organized with a mind for fine details, she brings a diverse background of experience and is a valuable member of the team.  MeShell has a hidden love for muscle cars and can always be found with a positive attitude.
